Summary
Pearl harbour was not an entirely successful attack for the Japanese. Although significant damage was inflicted upon the naval base, many variables would result in multiple key targets being missed. Furthermore, the implications of dragging the US into the war would prove dire not only for the Japanese but the Nazis as well.
Quotes
"Our country has been attacked by force of arms, and by force of arms we must retaliate. We must now turn every effort to building the greatest and most efficient Army, Navy and Air Force in the world." -FDR
Subjunctive Question
How much more time would have elapsed before the Americans joined the war had the attack never taken place? How much more territory could the access powers have gained?
