Summary
The Tiannamen Square Massacre occured Jne 3-4 1989. It had slowly been moving towards it through democracy movements since Deng came into power. May 4th they had mass rallies for the 70th anniversaries of the last major democratic uprising. After these rallies many of the students stayed behind and started a hunger stike. The PLA was ordered to take whatever actiosn they felt necessary and early in June the Army arrives. They opened fire on June 3rd.
